The simplehuman Rectangular Step Can line is the best selling lineup of cans in the simplehuman catalog. It has been redesigned, reinvented and refined over the last two decades, and is one of the most iconic products in the simplehuman line. Much thought is given to each update as the brand language and philosophy must be developed and refined to reflect the brand directive.
A liner pocket was designed into the can body to store and dispense trash bags. They can easily be dispensed one at a time for a faster bag change, and you never have to go looking for where you keep your extra trash bags.
A new system was developed that utilizes a liner rim that hinges up for easy access to the liner. No more dealing with removing the lid and finding a place to put it. The bucket was also eliminated, so no more fumbling with a bucket. After you replace the liner, you just drop the liner rim down and it covers up the excess liner.
The lack of a bucket increased the capacity by 25%. And the interior is designed for easy cleaning with rounded corners and smooth wipeable surfaces. Air vents are designed into the bottom of the can, allowing air to break the vacuum created by removing a full trash bag, making it easier to remove. and there is a silver-ion coating on the stainless steel that resists fingerprints and the spread of germs without dulling the sheen and luster of the steel.
